I have read the instructions several times but still could not get the detector to show anything meaningful. On a brick wall he reported a 1m x 1m area of constantly live cable, there would have to be a whole network of cables. He may have found the real one, but it's hard to tell from the false alarm. On the other hand, at other times the live cable just under the plaster (and live - there was a load) was not found at all. Likewise, the metal detection in the wall was kind of all over the place. Unfortunately, I didn't get the feeling that I could rely on it, and at that point, such a device is not worth it to me. Maybe it works better for some people, but it didn't convince me.

Detectors in this price range will probably never be super accurate. But for my home use, it's enough. The price is higher, but the accuracy seems good to me. Somewhere I know the cables are there and it's always detected them. Which is important. There will be some false positive inaccuracy, it will detect something deep/nearby in my opinion, although I don't think there will be anything there. I drill where it really doesn't detect anything in the area and I'm happy.
I have only tested the detection of live cables and metals so far. I have no way to try wood, I don't have drywall, etc.
I find it accurate
Probably more expensive for hobby use
