I was using an older Braun 8585 Activator and decided to buy a new razor instead of a new one. I have to say that the new Braun series 9 exceeded my expectations, it shaves really well. Also, the docking station is more advanced by the user. Battery life similar - about 3-4 weeks, depending on frequency and length of shaving. Overall a very good product justifying the higher price.

I do not regret the purchase despite the subjective disadvantages of the machine - Braun is Braun
I went to a proven certainty with a similar Braun more years old, good ergonomics and shaving mainly wet, perfect rechargeable AKU case for longer lasting operation of the machine without charger
shaves my tough stubble better than the one I've been using with the newer shaving head and better than the occasional milling machine, which is quieter, from a well-known brand,
trophy machine operation noisier - a matter of habit, sturdy and heavier charging case, which is the only one for storing and transporting the machine, my older type had a larger and lighter shaving head swing
slightly higher price despite Christmas and post-Christmas discounts

If you charge it every time you shave: -))
It suffers from self-discharge. Either a poor quality battery or permanently powered circuits. On Monday you charge it to 100% and on Sunday you're at 0 without turning it on, it doesn't even hiccup. You don't shave without a total reload from 0. On vacation without an outlet impossible. Unbelievable poor quality from Braun for the money. I didn't even reclaim it, they would return it charged from the socket and not acknowledge the claim. I used to be a serviceman, I know how it works.

Having shaved with blades and experienced other electric shavers of various types and brands, I figured that Santa would bring it to me and like some others, I would try it out and if it didn't suit, I would return it. Well, like most of the people who asked for it, I kept it. I am completely satisfied with it and I can recommend it.
Shaves well and does not irritate the skin.
Maintenance with cleaning and charging station
Maybe the price, but given the quality after trying.?

The last time I had a Braun razor was about 20 years ago. it didn't suit me very well, I bought a rotary Philips and I was the same: ) Then for a number of years I shaved cleanly with just a hair trimmer. (not smooth). But my wife couldn't stand the beard in the bathroom anymore: ) and so she told me to get a razor. I chose the Series 9 Pro+ and I have no regrets. Just a little warning that isn't mentioned much anywhere. I first bought the 9 PRO version without cleaning station (9410C) with the expectation that I would buy the station in time. Stations can be purchased, but they will NOT work with the machine! The machine as such must be sent to a service station for replacement of the electronics and subsequent pairing with the station. Simply "solo" machines are "orphaned". If you extend the warranty on the Braun, it asks you for the EAN. you can't enter it in the formula, only the 4 digit code. The code is visible on the box near the EAN (like a model number)
the machine is very light for its solid design
good riding, does not irritate the skin (even with several passes over the same place)
the package includes a great fitting case
Free 5-year warranty extension directly from Braun
The shaving blade can be easily removed using 2 side buttons - compared to lower ranges where it is done by force
after each use, the machine tells itself if the head needs to be changed / cleaned in the station (it monitors the condition itself)
I would include a "solo" charging stand, like my version without cleaning station
there is no room for the cleaning card in the case
more sticks under the chin, must be driven over several times
