Solid plastic-quality, the water is really tastier. I have also measured the water quality with special water meters and the differences are really there, before and after filtration.
So I don' t have problems with the lid, as others write here, the lid can be easily and easily removed and put on.
I just find the manual cartridge replacement indicator useless, because it only counts down a certain time and not the number of filtrations. So if I' m not e. g. 2 weeks at home and I don' t use the kettle, so the indicator starts “notifying“ me that I should replace the cartridge, even though I basically only used it maybe 3 times. So be sure not to follow this indicator, but rather how often you use the kettle.
