I bought my first Camelbak bottles (adult version) five years ago and they are still in service. Unlike cheap non-branded bottles, which break easily because the tritan used is thin, Camelbak's bottle wall is much thicker and very durable. It really lasts a lot - even after several falls on concrete the bottle hasn't broken, it's just scuffed. The whole thing can be disassembled and washed in the dishwasher, maintenance is easy and spare parts are available - so you don't have to throw away the whole bottle when your child chews on the straw. My daughter really likes the rated bottle and it is the only one she is comfortable drinking from (I have tried 11 different types and manufacturers). I know from my surroundings that children 1+ drink from it comfortably. I definitely recommend it.
