Experience after about a month of use. The minuses are surmountable, but regrettable. On the other hand, I have verified an important factor - EFFICIENCY. I state AMATEUR! the measured consumption. Minuses:
- Description of the dishwasher - universal info for several models of the manufacturer (with maximum features), therefore one does not know what a particular model can do for us - missing "PERFECT RAPID ZONE"(= "wapka" under the bottom basket for burnt pots)
o here - no AquaStop, but AquaProtect (? = another solution to the same problem?)
- Instructions for use - universal, completely missing energy and water consumption for each pgm. However, Pgm EKO has a declared very low consumption - and this made the difference. Pros:
- Downloadable instruction manual on Alza, unfortunately universal from the manufacturer (see Cons)
- www.bonuscandy.cz - they will send you 120 free tablets for signing up
- Baskets o Simple => large number of dishes
o Practical and adjustable "hedgehogs" for plates
o Adjustable top(resp. medium) basket - optimal placement from the manufacturer, but the possibility to lift it is
o Flat top cutlery basket - don't get confused - EFFICIENCY!
o Consumption rates generally range from 0.6-1.2 kWh/1cycle. At today's prices (5 CZK/kWh), 280 cycles/R, 10 years, the difference is 0.1kWh/1c = 1.400 CZK/10 years. I.e. (theoretically) if the consumption of the EKO pgm is 1.2 kWh/1c, then you will pay 16,800 CZK for 10 years, while the lowest (here) 0.6 kWh/1c is only 8,400 CZK. This is a saving of CZK 8,400/10 years. o Pgm EKO - 45°C, 0,65 kWh/1cycle. I measured it twice - at full 0.52, at half empty 0.44 kWh/1c! - compared to the declared 0.65! (which is also low)
o Pgm ZOOM - 60°C, 0,79 kWh/1c., measured only once
o Pgm INTENSE - 75°C, 1.49 kWh/1c., measured once
o Pgm SILENCE - 55°C, 0.84 kWh/1c., measured once
o All measurements are amateur only.
o Slightly higher water consumption for ECO (10.5 l), but in 10 years the "difference of 1 litre" is about 250 CZK/10 years, it can be survived.
- 9 pgm, temperatures 45, 50, 55, 60, 75°C - everyone can choose (e.g. normally only 45, after a visit 60 or even 75°C)
- 9 pgms, times from 24 to 255 minutes. ZOOM 39´ is optimally fast. ECO is worth saving in the long run
- Pgm EKO washed the pots decently
- Pgm SILENCE - really almost inaudible. (perhaps unnecessary, as the dishwasher is normally quiet)
- Automatic opening of the door when finished (resp. within pgmu) - better drying of dishes. The door opens after about 2/3 of the washing time, then it just dries (if the door is set to open)
- With a small number of people, it is debatable whether to wash every day on ECO, or wash once every 3-4 days with a full dishwasher using pgm P9 (Prewash) after loading a "batch". Consumption is perhaps 0.1-0.2 kWh/rinse. Years ago my wife and I tried it and the dishes started to smell (after 4 days)... On the contrary - if the consumption of the EKO is really only 0.44 kWh (or up to the declared 0.65), then there is nothing to optimize and we can wash every other day. - Option to add dishes during washing (ADDISH)
- Pgm Auto Wash - I haven't tried it yet, so I don't know the result or consumption, which supposedly optimizes according to the dirty condition of the dishes
