It's great, I enjoy shooting with it because it makes the images "original": -)
If you shoot with it, don't be afraid that you'll see the cutouts at full bore. I recommend to use Camera Raw from Adobe, they can do great proofing with it.
Too bad about the f/4.0, because it's not really suitable for the night sky, but it's clear that 1.2 or 1.4 would be worth a different price.
