What a surprise, when in the description here on the alza website it says that the car track is electric, at home after unpacking we found out that it is battery powered: -( This is probably the biggest disappointment.

The plastic is softer than I was used to with the old car tracks, but so far it seems pretty durable - the parts have held up even when a five-year-old accidentally stepped on them. The cars are quite fast and reliable, there is just a big difference in their speeds.
A good first car track for children
The construction, although not robust, is reasonably durable
The battery lasts a long time (the boys have been riding it almost daily for a month and it hasn't died yet).
Rocky is a lot slower than Chase
