The experience was entirely negative. I used to have a virtually identical Thule, of which this rack is a cheaper copy, and they worked (until they were stolen). I bought this carrier now for a trial run with a plan to buy two more, but instead there is a complaint going on. What's wrong: * The lock on one of the U-profile feet does not work. Already the key went into the lock the wrong way, but after that I couldn't turn and lock it. So if I want to drive with the footrest unlocked but at least locked, I have to leave the key in the lock when driving. Without the key tucked in, the flap won't engage at all. * The rear U-profile foot (75mm) could not close at all. The locking screw kept slipping out of the grooves at the end of the U-profile, and the flap could not be closed at all. I spent 40 minutes trying different angles and different screw insertion depths, but it was completely futile. I think it's really crap. Even the strength of the latch on the original Thule and the sort of weak fit of the flap on this carrier is a huge difference. The complaint may go smoothly, but it's a waste of time and nerves. It shouldn't be sold at all.

After the first ride, the bike frame mount opened spontaneously until I locked it, the lock of the roof rack mount pulled out with the key and cannot be put back. As a colleague used to say, "it's so Chinese".
