I've been using it for a short time. So far I have only put it on the car and not taken it off yet. Against smaller hailstorms it should protect the car, but at the risk of larger ones I would add some protection under the tarpaulin (e.g. mattresses).

It's only recommended for hail, although I use it for sun too. The material, however, can degrade in the sun over time, so long-term use in this way is not recommended.
The middle strap is harder to fasten under the car. You need to swap to the other side of the car.
Folding and the necessary drying of the sail before folding will be difficult due to the dimensions, but this is obvious.
