This is the big bad!
I was switching from the Steelseries Rival 500, which is underwhelming in terms of button layout compared to the Corsair Scimitar (and similar mice), so this can be quite subjective.
The mouse fits quite well in the hand and thanks to the positionable buttons you can adjust it to your needs. Unfortunately, the pros end there.
On my piece, the no button is jamming. 4, remains compressed. I wouldn't expect that from a two dollar mouse. The wheel is very hard to press. The texture of the buttons is useless, if you need to press a button quickly, you won't flick your thumb on the texture, you'll just hit it or not. So for me it's just a marketing glitter.
And now the iCUE software. Well, that's tragic. Button mapping is unintuitive, and requires a lot of clicking in the settings. You usually do that once, so I'd even make a habit of it, but damn it has to work. I set it up - nothing. I tell myself I'm doing something wrong, I watch the videos and setup just fine, but still nothing. Restarting the PC helped. Okay, it was my first time, I'm suffering silently, but I'm going to turn the game on and play. The next day, turning on the compu, the buttons don't work again. SW running, everything set, profile saved in both SW and mouse and nothing. Only another reboot helped. Other times, button mapping simply stops working while the PC is running - all the classic buttons go, but nothing under the thumb.
RGB settings? I gave up, I used the preset profiles, because I'm not going to set it up in such a stupid way.
A big disappointment for me.

I've owned a Razer naga (2x), a cheap Russian Reddragon Foxbat and I have to say that of these mmo mice, this Corsair is the absolute worst. Poor quality, horrible ergonomics that make my hand hurt after playing for long periods of time and the button design tempts me to press multiple buttons at once. I do not recommend it to the restrictive players.

Size - I have a big hand and it fits awfully well
The sliding side buttons are totally cool
Backlighting can be set in 4 different places independently
The backlight can also be switched off completely
The wheel is pleasant to touch and operate
I really like the mouse, so for me definitely a plus look
Rubberized right area where your fingers are, so the mouse can be lifted and held nicely
I'd say even the bundled software, it does a lot and it does it well
I have not yet figured out how to make the mouse when you turn on the PC had already the profile that was set last time
