I hesitated between buying the Cubot Pocket and the Cubot Kinkong 2 Pro, finally I decided for the Pocket because it has the extra NFC that I got used to with my previous phone. It was necessary to change the font size in the advanced display settings to the largest and the displayed size (icons and banners) to large.
After that, the only thing missing to perfection is a more sensitive touch layer, a slightly more powerful processor and filling the front panel with a larger display. If the manufacturer fixes all this while maintaining the size, weight and battery life in the next version, adds a fingerprint reader, a 128GB memory variant and tunes the Ultra Power Saving mode, it will be five stars.
Pleasantly surprised by the battery life
The dimensions and weight are just right, which is the main criterion for me. It can be operated with just one hand and fits easily into the front pocket of your trousers.

The foil started peeling off the display after a week of use, you need to buy a better quality replacement right away.

It is not possible to turn off the "ultra power saving mode" application as it does not contain any icons or controls. I mean, he's completely useless. The only way to get rid of it is to connect it to the charger and quit all apps.
Launching apps could be a bit faster in the next upgraded version.
The silicone case does not extend anywhere above the level of the display, so as to protect the display when dropped on a flat surface.

I take back my original negative assessment. Initially - the phone cannot be reached even when on signal - I'm stumped as to why this would be the case. I found out that I have a very old SIM card. So I tried it and the phone works perfectly. So maybe a piece of advice for others who have written the same negative review - Visit your operator and ask for a new SIM card.
The phone can't be reached. He's on signal, but he's unresistant. For this reason I am returning it after a week of use.
