The image quality is very good both day and night. The standard IR illumination is replaced by a strong LED illumination when motion is detected, allowing colour recording even in the dark. The camera works by illuminating only IR at night and if it detects motion, it turns on full illumination for a short period of time. When motion is detected, it tries to track the moving object by rotating in two axes (around + up/down) The problem is the very narrow angle of view. The camera does not have any function that e.g. periodically rotating the axis and observing the surroundings. It is in a set starting position and if movement is detected at this angle, it will start tracking and rotating. After the loss of movement, it returns to its original position. It should therefore be taken into account that it will be aimed at one, relatively small place. Another issue is "person detection", which is supposed to not report notifications if the motion detected is not a person. This almost doesn't work. At night, when insects are flying or the wind is blowing, the camera does not constantly record any movement, immediately starts to swipe and try to track (this in itself is strange and can be disturbing if it is near a window) and at the same time it is absolutely wrong and sends notifications, although no one is anywhere. It is also important to mention that the record of detected movements is stored in the cloud for a fee of 3USD/month. This is more expensive than previous versions of IMOU cameras, which cost only $1.89/month. It doesn't work without a fee: storing detected movements on the cloud, downloading videos from the card (if you buy the card), person recognition function. At the same time, you are only dependent on the Imou app from the manufacturer. There is no support for HomeKit or other ecosystems.

The camera is average. Due to the small angle of view, you would appreciate the ability to set the auto-rotate to your preference which is not even possible for a monthly payout. But what you can do for a monthly fee is to download the footage from the SD card. Tracking only works when the object is mainly in the middle of the field of view, below or above the horizon is already a problem. The problem with trackung is that if the tracked object stops for a moment, the camera returns to its original position within a moment and then its not important what is happening "behind" it. Bottom line, a camera with a larger field of view makes more sense 👍

There's not much you can do to get an outdoor motorized camera that can withstand heavy rain, and certainly not at this price and with 4MP resolution. Control is very easy and intuitive via the official app. From the recordings, the singing of birds from the nearby forest can be clearly heard. You can communicate decently even at a distance of about 10m through the intercom. The disadvantage is the very beginning, when you have to pair the camera with your phone (the app on it). We were not able to do this with either camera via WiFi. If it saves someone the nerves and searching, it is better to connect the camera to the router, through which the camera will be available online, connect the camera to the power supply and through the LAN port to the router and then the setup is a piece of cake. Then you set up WiFi access and that's it. If you are going to set up night vision, I would recommend trying all the modes. If motion detection is set, the IR night vision in black and white is full of false motion reports. Every snowflake, moth, mosquito, etc. that flies near the camera triggers a motion detection alarm. On the other hand, colour night vision is plausible as far as colours are concerned, but at a distance of 10m a moving person appears as a walking ghost. You can see the head, but the moving legs are blurred, which doesn't look believable.
