I'm no pro, but I have an SE X1 S, and the difference in recording quality between the DJI and SE is audible, but for the purposes of recording spoken word for video, the difference is absolutely negligible. And the simplicity and speed of getting ready to record makes up for it. But the quality is noticeable when I record guitar and vocals - that's where the DJI "falls short" (or I haven't figured out how to set it up yet). Yeah but without a bunch of auxiliary cables I couldn't really get the DJI mic to work with the iPad Pro (M2). Somehow it's not working on the USB-C connector. And research on the internet has confirmed this: I've found a few YT videos describing it, and that DJI support doesn't give a damn about it, but that you need to buy a few proper cables and then you can get it to work, but that loses the charm of simplicity - I might as well pull in an external soundcard and XLR microphone.
Simplicity and speed when I need to record something quickly (I don't have a stationary "studio" ready all the time)
Surprisingly good sound quality (absolutely sufficient for me)
Does not work with iPad Pro
