The collar caused trauma to our dog. On his own he started giving the dog intense shocks and continuous beeping (at that moment the dog was just lying on the ground) and stopped only when I took the collar off. Since then our dog is afraid of any beep i.e. dishwasher, dryer, washing machine, oven, microwave. We had two collars and it didn't work reliably on either dog. I returned the collars after this malfunction.
