When choosing, I focused on the size of the ice bin (basket) and I think this one is the perfect size. The 1.5L water reservoir is also cool, and can be refilled at any time by lifting the ice bucket (even when it' s running). It could easily be smaller. If you are choosing, I recommend looking for the smallest possible size (at the time of purchase it was the second smallest on sale) and to look at the size of the ice bin. I would not recommend a smaller basket like this, because thanks to the sensors, the maker would turn off quite often when the ice basket was full. I would not consider the possibility of producing large or small cubes (plugs). In my opinion, small plugs are useless (the manufacturing process is the same, only the freezing stops earlier and because of this the plugs are smaller, the same hole walls are thinner). After the transfer (e. g. at the cottage) the ice maker must be at rest for at least 2 hours so that the cooling unit stabilizes and does not get damaged (similar to a refrigerator/freezer). This is not a disadvantage as it will be exactly the same for all other models.

a shovel is not included, but it can be bought for a few bucks (a flour shovel is more than enough)
