No matter how hard I tried, the rod would fall arbitrarily and not hold immediately or after a while without any further manipulation.
I tightened the thread as tight as I could: a little, a lot, a lot more, but after a while she fell anyway. Maybe it would have held if I hadn't used the hinge. 🙃
