After an excellent experience with the River 2 Pro, I purchased the smaller River 2 Max as a UPS for my router, switch, AP and a few devices. During normal operation (passthrough) between 30-160W the station is completely silent, after the FW update the fan does not run. I haven't tried more on the AC output yet, but compared to the AlzaPower, which at the same values was audible and especially annoying despite the closed cabinet, it's a feast for the ears. The cooling only makes itself known when charging or running from the battery, which is quite loud, but not annoying as with the AlzaPower station. Excellent app (Wifi or BT) with monitoring including station temperature, charging power setting (TOP), charge/discharge limit setting up to specified % battery, automatic AC power on after power restoration (if using station as UPS) when battery reaches 5% (TOP), display/station/AC timeout, FW update. After the disastrous experience with the AlzaPower station, this is heaven and smoke. For me a very top station.

Functional UPS, after discharging and restoring power, the AC will automatically turn on after 5% battery charge. Must have current FW.
Supported applications - status monitoring, temperature, charging power settings, charge/discharge range, timeout settings, firmware updates, etc.
Clean sinus
Perhaps the only thing is that switching to the battery station doesn't even beep and the App has no notifications for River models (supposedly they should add one in the future).

Product very nice and good quality. I especially appreciate the nice app in which you can set a lot of things and the display that shows input/output and relevant discharge times etc. The 5-year warranty is great. The carrying handle is good, as are the charging speeds and adjustment options, but unfortunately the whole impression is spoiled by the completely plastic construction and MOSTLY the unbearable fan that starts even at absurdly low loads.
