I wanted a multi-functional device, which would scan, print fast, copy, and in same time be not expensive. I took this one because in characteristics it said it prints as fast as laser-jet, and thought color would be an extra advantage.
It is wireless. You don't need to connect it to your computer, and can send print jobs from any spot in the apartment via Wi-Fi.
It can send images from scanner to your e-mail or to your Dropbox, again, wirelessly. It is very convenient for people with laptops and without stationary PCs.
It scans fast and efficiently.
It can print duplex (two-sided printing) completely automatically. Just be careful not to pull out the paper when it sticks out of the machine for the first time.
it prints colors. Didn't try to print photos, and don't intend to.
It is SO NOISY. It makes paper-chewing clacking mechanical noise when it turns on, when it prepares to print, when it hibernates, wakes up, and when it shuts down. I mean, for getting 1 page of paper you need to listen 5 minutes to these loud sounds.
it's printing quality is lower then average laser printer.
It doesn't really have a touch screen. You still need to press buttons (well, touch-buttons) to scroll left and right to get to menus, and not press on them directly.
It took me quite a while to understand how to set up the duplex and the gray scale printing. You can't do it through the printer or printer settings, but must go through the printing menus of each application from which you want to print.
Basically, the noise is the main reason why I am unsatisfied with this printer. The rest is tolerable, especially given the enormous convenience of wireless use.
