After previous experience with EVGA power supplies I took this one as the obvious choice for a new build but unfortunately it was a mistake not to read the reviews beforehand. In terms of power capacity and reliability of the power supply itself, I have no complaints, but what the manufacturer has not managed from my point of view is the fan control on the power supply. There are two options here thanks to the ECO mode, unfortunately for me both are unusable. If the mode is on, the power supply runs in zero RPM mode, but if the power supply reaches a certain temperature or load above 20-30% the fan immediately spins to 100% and after a while turns off again (so there is a possibility of quite annoying cycling) - even with normal PC use, just some background update that briefly more load on the power supply.
On the other hand, if you decide not to use ECO mode, the fan does not cycle, but the minimum speed is not so minimal and the power supply in my case is audible compared to the rest of the PC - a problem if you focus on ultra silent. Otherwise, I have no other problem with the power supply, thanks to its full modularity it offers a wide range of options for powering components.
