It's nice and easy to put together. Unfortunately, that's about all that's positive about it.
The quality of the plastics is terrible. The sliding sleeve gets so soft in the sun that it pulls out completely. The gearbox, anyway. The top mount is a complete tragedy. The plastic will soften completely. Even in the slightest breeze, a breeze that you barely notice, the top arm of the parasol will tip up. This makes the umbrella unusable because you are afraid to unfurl it when you happen to need to leave it and go away, like into the house, and not have to keep watch and catch it.
