I bought this watch after a rather intense comparison with the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and I already counted on the fact that it will not have some functionality, since it is not the same ecosystem. Mostly the battery life and the comparable accuracy of the running, walking and swimming measurements to the AW Ultra 3 were the reasons for me to get it despite the price. However, I ended up returning them because I think their price can't really be justified almost in my subjective opinion given all the things I noticed and wasn't happy with. Before I get to those, it's important to mention that if you've never had a smartwatch from Apple, Samsung, and the like, you probably won't even see those struggles as such a problem, since you may not have the experience of something that works more intuitively, smoothly, and is better tuned overall. However as a smartwatch user I was very disappointed that some features are behind the paywall (monthly subscription) as mentioned above, especially something like SOS messaging charging me finds it fascinating and almost absurd when you pay so much money and they still try to get more money out of you for something that can help you incredibly. Some of the watch looks are free from Garmin and some you can buy, I was looking at another strap to buy for the watch and was totally shocked that they want about 2,700 for it, for a strap? Really? Another thing is the music, I don't understand the technical side of the watch and if it could be done differently and what the options are, but the way it is currently is so bad for me that it was one of the reasons I returned it. After you steam Spotify or YT Music you need to download a playlist, if you have one with dozens if not hundreds of songs to listen to, be prepared that even a few dozen takes a really long time (and I've had several times where the download failed at 30% - so only part of it downloaded. ), if you go over and accept this, which I did, the next problem is controlling the playback itself. Use the buttons on the watch or the display to pause the song or switch to the next one. But the problem is that it's slow and really a lot, when I tried to switch music by touching it, many times I didn't know if it registered the touch because it took a while to switch the song to the next one, if you want to go back to the previous song or play the current one again, you have to use the button or the display to expand the menu where there is an icon for it, same for the volume, why on earth? Why can't it all be together, i.e. an icon to replay the current song/return to the previous song, a pause and icon for the next song, and a speaker icon to show volume adjustment. It's really annoying, and when you're running or swimming, yes it's a matter of 1-2s to click through to that drop down list, but it's pointless and doesn't match the price again. If you want to skip ahead two songs, there's a delay before it switches once and then again. Again, for me, you don't want to deal with this when you're running, you just want to double-click it or hit a button to switch it over and not deal with anything and keep running. Further, I didn't understand why, when you download a playlist from a connected Spotify or YT Music, you can't click through to select the song you want to play. It's important to note that this music playback issue is exactly the same whether the music is downloaded from connected services or you're controlling your phone with the watch, one would expect that for the money the software would be optimized enough to run smoothly. Also, the maps are not smooth and if you want to move on the map on the watch to a different place than where you are and it shows you, you wait about 1-2s for the map to load. The maps are some free in the base but of course there is again the possibility to pay extra for other maps. I knew this watch was not a smartwatch and would lack functionality, which is ok, the battery is a huge benefit that makes up for it. But with a price tag like that, all the features should be available for free and I would expect the watch to run smoothly in all respects, it generally does, but as I mentioned there are cases where it doesn't quite and it depends on how much it bothers you. In terms of data display in the app on the phone I have no complaints, it's very nicely sophisticated and the measurement itself when running or swimming is great and I have nothing to add to it. So if you're ok with the price and you can get over all these things I wrote and music is not really that relevant to you, you get a nice watch with really extensive settings, the selection of sports is great and the measurement is as accurate as on the Apple Watch Ultra 3, which has one of the most accurate on the market, then buy it, but otherwise I would recommend to test it first in a store somewhere to see if you will like the user interface.

It may not be as relevant to some, but I don't understand why you need 3 different apps on your phone from Garmin for this watch, one on the store (where some of the watch visuals are free and some for money. ), another one with all the data/data from using the watch and the last one for the maps. For me personally, it doesn't make sense to me to have 3 more apps on my phone, but that's very subjective
