After a couple of years of using a simple Amazfit sports watch and frequent crashing of functions (heart rate, GPS error, accidental end of activity,. ) I decided to try something new and in the Coros vs Garmin battle, Garmin won. The beginnings were more complicated because of a brand new app and various new features (the app is not the clearest in every way, but it's a matter of habit). After a few weeks of use I am extremely satisfied, the watch fulfills exactly what I expected from it. The only thing I would appreciate is map navigation, but due to Garmin's policy, this feature cannot be expected on lower models. At first I had to get used to the silicone bracelet as well, after over 3 months of use it's no problem for 24/7 wear. If you are looking for a relatively reasonably priced sports watch with the usual smart features, I can only recommend it.

I mainly use it for weight training, cycling, running, swimming and hiking. All great, detailed indicator of training quality, current training status, training recommendations, recovery status, etc. The body battery function and heart rate variability are excellent, which determines how prepared you are for your next workout and how you are handling the current training load. I switched from Apple Watch mainly because of the battery life and sports features. At the beginning it was a huge unusual, especially the inability to control by touch and the quality of the display, but after a few days you get used to it and you end up loving the push-button control, because it is really great during exercise, whether in the pool or in gloves in the winter. If you want a sophisticated sports watch with smart features and a sporty look, get a Garmin. Those who want a smartwatch with basic sports features and elegance for every occasion should take the AW. What are we gonna do. The Apple Watch does look better and more elegant with a shirt, but again at the expense of the sports features. I've gotten used to Garmins with my shirt and it doesn't look too bad. Overall satisfaction.

As the owner of a previously used Garmin Forerunner 45, I am with the Forerunner 255 sports watch for its high level. excited. If the runner wants to improve and use the training functions, this watch will be a great help. I consider this watch to be the optimal choice from the Garmin range - price/performance. If a runner can navigate the course and plan the route in advance in Garmin Connect, running in unfamiliar environments is manageable. I hope that this watch will serve min. 5 years. After 5 years, the strap that was glued to the watch broke on the Forerruner model. On the Forrerunner 45, the plastic part to which the strap is screwed has broken. So I hope Garmin has learned from previous design mistakes. It is a fact that the forced watch change will be my progression for the planned races. Why I chose Garmin again. Garmin products are at the cutting edge of sports equipment, offering a high level of features and craftsmanship. When a person has been using Garmin products for many years, they don't want to leave and change the account where they have all their activity history.

I seem to be charging more often than I expected according to Garmin's stated values. A possible reason is excessive and frequent use of the watch to learn a new model, and to find the ideal settings for the functions.
Too bad this watch doesn't have a touchscreen. When scrolling through the menu, swiping would be more comfortable.

A quality sporttester with many features. In this category, I was choosing based on price and knew ahead of time that I wanted a Garmin because I have another device from them (Edge 530) and I've had one watch before (735XT, smashed its display on the ferrata; my wife has FR 35). I was also considering a Forerunner 55 and it would probably be good enough for me, plus there's a barometer and a few more advanced data tweaks (I'm a data freak). It can make music somehow, but I don't know how, I never cared for it. There's not much to fault the watch in terms of function. Connection to the sensors is seamless, to the mobile phone for data synchronization as well. The display looks fine to me. Battery life is normal, I have not tested long activity, but it will be about a week of normal activity as advertised. I recharge during evening hygiene, the half hour is enough (I have about 2h of activity records per day). I'm expecting the standard garmin software problems, but nothing has appeared yet. The only complaint about this model is probably the worse look - I have the grey version and it doesn't look great with a suit. But for the price I paid, there is nothing better and I only care about function, I don't care about looks.
