I have tried the transmitter in several cars. On my not so old car, the device in the ignition will NOT turn off. But after trying it on a friend's older model, it turned itself off without any problems after turning off the car. So I must not forget to take the transmitter out of the ignition when parking the car so that I don't risk that it will "suck" my battery and I won't start in the morning. Even though the transmitter draw is probably minimal, I wouldn't leave it in the ignition anyway. I consider that the biggest minus. Otherwise, the transmitter has a very nice stereo, without much loss of quality.
Connecting a mobile phone via blutooth is almost instantaneous and the mobile phone has no problem finding the device even when disconnected for a long time.
I really appreciate the possibility of connecting an SD-card or USB-card as a music carrier.
The backlight is not extra sharp yet it is just right. I like the red option the best, it can be switched off completely. It doesn't blink or bother.
I haven't had a chance to try the transmitter for phone calls yet, but I personally don't like to make phone calls in the car so it's not something I need or use often.
The buttons for switching or pausing the music are quite small, even with small fingers I sometimes fumble next to them. But my ignition is pretty badly positioned, so I don't really use it.
