For extra Kodi control, I recommend the Yatse app and typing from your mobile. The included controller doesn't have a keyboard, and tapping letters on a TV these days? 🤣 However, YouTube directly in Android has good voice control, but again there are ads, the ones on YT inside the Kodi app are of course not. I only use Kodi + Stream Cinema add-on and O2 TV. So I don't even need Android, but it came out cheaper than the RPI5, so whatever. RPI5 directly with Kodi, it goes straight from the mobile from the Yatse app to turn off and on, this one I turn on and off with OK google turn on/off my TV 🤣, so probably better. Simply Android and not just Kodi, ie who has extra Netflix and similar crap, so it will use it. For me, Stream Cinema in Kodi is enough for everything. (Spotify is also in Kodi, but only paid). So this Android TV can make itself a Spotify WiFi speaker, which is useful.

I'm comparing it to the nvidia shield TV which it can't really compare to, but it matches the price. The difference in image quality is already the basic screen. The advantage is the possibility of connecting usb-c dock thanks to which you get a card reader, x USB ports, etc. But with this comes the main disadvantage of supporting only FAT 32 format, because NTFS can be used with other applications and then through VLC to play. Apparently the last update to 12 broke the ability to see disks on the local network, so you need to do a factory reset after performing all updates after boot. do it all over again and we have a fully functional Chromecast. It would need some kind of setup like ma shield, pure 12 is a bit of hell. But purely on a price/performance basis, it's a good device. Otherwise, it could be powered from the powerbank without any problems.

Great if you don't have Smart TV, but want it. You can watch Netflix, Disney, Google TV, Youtube, HBO Max.
Electric cable is not included. I don't really understand why.

Excellent quality for the price. Small, compact, portable and basically powerful enough. Complaining about the "small" RAM in such a cheap product is probably stupid.

I wanted a Chromecast because of the KODI and the ability to have multiple flash drives connected (the TV only has a single USB port), but in the end I still appreciate the ability to stream video using Chrome from a computer connected to the same network. At the beginning I was unsure about the docking station and KODI functionality, but there was no problem. KODI works thanks to Google Play, the docking station also works. I purchased the AlzaPower USB-C Dock Station 5in1 and needed to make sure it was wired directly into the Chromecast. Its power supply and the Chromecast power supply is provided by the AlzaPower A100 Fast Charge 20W plugged into the USB-C port on the dock.
Because the built-in HDMI cable is short, if one needs to have everything a little further away, this can be solved with a quality USB-C extension cable or a 4K HDMI extension cable.

does not play sound for some MP4 videos played from the local disk
removing the disc is buried in the settings and sometimes the disc is not even visible - NO video player can load it (tested with MXPlayer Pro)
