A 12 year old TV can handle it (Samsung UE32D6500)
you can install Skylink TV and change the order of your favourite apps
through the installed VLC app it can find the NAS and the movies stored on it, but I still don't know how to navigate through the menu on the home screen with DVDs
maybe it's my TV, maybe Google's legal disputes with someone, but after installing the Android update to version 12 my volume control doesn't work via the supplied driver, I have to use the one from the TV, supposedly the next update to version 12L should fix it, so maybe.

Satisfaction is great, it works as it should. I bought a new TV and I play everything on this one, because it controls the volume of the optical output, which is normally not possible with a 25k TV.
Some apks - like o2tv have to be uploaded sideways, but then they work: -)

For extra Kodi control, I recommend the Yatse app and typing from your mobile. The included controller doesn't have a keyboard, and tapping letters on a TV these days? 🤣 However, YouTube directly in Android has good voice control, but again there are ads, the ones on YT inside the Kodi app are of course not. I only use Kodi + Stream Cinema add-on and O2 TV. So I don't even need Android, but it came out cheaper than the RPI5, so whatever. RPI5 directly with Kodi, it goes straight from the mobile from the Yatse app to turn off and on, this one I turn on and off with OK google turn on/off my TV 🤣, so probably better. Simply Android and not just Kodi, ie who has extra Netflix and similar crap, so it will use it. For me, Stream Cinema in Kodi is enough for everything. (Spotify is also in Kodi, but only paid). So this Android TV can make itself a Spotify WiFi speaker, which is useful.

great driver, I control everything with it, the whole Kodi including O2TV etc.
voice control (not inside the Kodi application, meaning the whole Kodi, including internal applications). So it's only on Android itself, and everything in Android that supports it.
