I checked the imei database, the phone is brand new. Google' s warranty is available. Registered as purchased in Germany. Updated from 8 to 10 and then 11 android. There is a restart issue and resolved by resetting the settings to factory defaults.

After 3 weeks, maximum satisfaction. An older bit, but definitely better than my Sony Xperia XA2. Both in fluency, photos and memory. The display resolution is also better. At Sony, I ended up with an Android 9, here it goes to 11. The truth is that when switching to 11, the mobile phone did not tread as it should and it was necessary to make factory settings with the new android. But after that he steps like a watch. I hope that in 4 years there will be another Pixel available in a few bucks, which today costs 30,000: ))

I was looking for a replacement for the broken Pixel 3a (5.6") and I didn't want to go above about 13k and I didn't want a much bigger phone. I actually wanted the Pixel 3a again, it's great (for my prototypes) but I couldn't find it for purchase anywhere anymore. The Pixel 4 5G has also been discontinued so I tried this one and I have to admit my first plan was to try it and return it within 14 days.
And I kept it because it's awesome! I had problems with Android 11 in the beginning (first hour), but after updating all apps, the OS update came as well.
Improvements over the 3a include a larger display with higher resolution, longer battery life and more memory. On the other hand, the machine is slightly larger but also thinner which is nice. 3.5 jack, but I don't use that - I use BT.
If you're looking for a machine for Google apps and standard work, take it before it sells out and you have no choice but to dig much deeper into your pocket.

I've had the phone for a short time and I'm testing it so far - the problem is repeated restarting, making it impossible to use (about an hour at a time restarting), so I'll see if it's caused by the update and it stops over time. Otherwise, for how old it is, it might not be bad (if the reboot problems stop).
The camera is disappointing, it takes slightly worse photos than my previous phone, which is around the same year of manufacture and similar original price range - but this works out for me with most current models, except perhaps Huawei and Sony. However, if I take it that a good camera is considered to be what the iPhone12 demonstrates, then in that case the Google Pixel 2 XL is similar (certainly not more than 5% worse). And I was forced to skip the jack, but the phone came with an adapter, so it might not be so bad.
So if the rebooting is fixed, the phone will probably suit me - my other requirements are met (clean display without a puncture, etc., good storage size, no security issues, preferably with a jack), Android 11 is a nice bonus. Plus - I've been looking for a new phone since November and it hasn't been easy given the requirements: so there were also Sony and Asus models (which are more expensive and have a smaller range of accessories), so I even made concessions in terms of the display projection and tried iPhone12 or Realme 8, but they did not convince me. So when I compare it all, the Google Pixel 2 XL comes out best, even though it is almost a historical model. Its weakness in the future could be the small RAM - that's why I think it will run better on the A10.
