The memory is completely useless, forget about the 3ghz frequency. I had 2 kits in my hand, one maxed 2880, so I swapped it for the other and that one maxed 2666mhz without changing the timings. If you want a kit that gives 3ghz, forget this one. I have a 2,5 years old 16g kit ballistix elite 2666hz at home and I can run almost 3ghz with it. I bought it at the time of the biggest price hike for 2.5k at a thrift store. I thought I'd try a famous brand and big disappointment. Maybe the better series are okay, but this is garbage. Today I'm changing the second kit for 3ghz ballistix tactic and if it's going to be a mess, I'm not buying new memory.
