The ice container can be pulled out and washed separately, the inside of the maker can be washed with detergent and then simply rinsed with water thanks to the drain valve at the back of the machine (just point it over the sink and open the drain). If you have a problem with the ice cubes sticking together in one table, simply subtract 1 or 2 minutes from the ice making time (see instructions). The ice cubes are hollow (open on one side). It depends on the ambient temperature and the temperature of the water you put in the machine, but every 20-25 minutes you have one batch of ice (24 pieces). The ice container is not below freezing or the finished ice melts slowly. But the melted water is later used to make more ice. Timelapse video: https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=f69byaT0XJI The process of making ice: Water runs down a metal grid that is cooled and freezes on the sides. Running water does not freeze with bubbles and therefore the ice is clear. At the moment when the ice is made the metal grid is heated to loosen the ice and the ice falls out into the tray below. The process is repeated until the ice container is full or the water runs out.
