We used the popcorn maker once and then went to return it. It just wasn't possible. Finished pucks also throw out a lot of grains that haven't popped yet, so it has a huge waste rate. But a lot of the discarded popcorn bursts in the bowl at the bottom, where the finished popcorn is already on top of it, and that's when the light, finished popcorn starts flying around your kitchen. My wife and I just stared in disbelief, the kids had a mad fit of laughter because (I admit) the show was spectacular. However, a third of the popcorn was lying at the bottom of the bowl unmade, making the wastage rate huge. Škoda.

we used it once and we don't use it anymore. the noise it makes is the biggest obstacle

terribly noisy (like a lawnmower)
the popcorn is dry, tasteless (salt and flavours sink down into the bowl and don't stick to the popcorn at all)
the seeds pop out (more than if you make popcorn in the microwave, about 50:50)
