My Lenovo laptop sucks in air from the bottom and blows it out from the back when heated. The HAMA pad works properly and air is supplied from the sides to the underside of the laptop. But my laptop's placement against the wall in the space behind the laptop was accumulating heated air, and the pad was driving it to the underside of the laptop again. That's why I connected another USB fan from the back of the pad which brings cool air under the pad and behind the laptop. This works very well and the computer is sufficiently cooled even under load. The noise level also remained at an acceptable level. I would recommend the HAMA pad mainly because of the aluminum design and also the price. It is just advisable to place the computer well or buy some additional fan, unfortunately its price will probably be higher than the price of the pad itself.

Large fan - one large fan should cool better than multiple small fans
One fan makes less noise - this pad is actually very quiet
There is a power switch on the back and also 2x USB
The control of the fastening from the rear tent is awkward, there is poor access
Unfortunately USB only works as a power supply, I could not connect the keyboard and mouse
The fan does not have a speed control and also the speed could be higher
I connected another fan to the second USB because the cooling power is not sufficient
