So, not to be like a lot of other reviewers and do reviews like "they're great, they have a nice sample and I can't wait to try them". I gave them 2 months of life on the car, snow, mud ice and the last few days again some of that heat. A? They didn't disappoint. The tyres have held me up twice in a very critical situation when braking in the snow and I am not afraid to lean on them anymore. Snow for 1, the ice holds as they should, they don't chew in corners, they don't rush out and I haven't experienced aquaplaning on them yet. Since we have these tires on the 5th car in the family, a Korean, a small lightweight Kia Ceed, and the top three from Germany are fitted with premium Michelin and Continental, I like to play around with lesser known brands on this great Korean. The summer ones are Hankook too! Well, and these winterers are not really embarrassing so far and confirm their good test results. Even the consumption is identical to the summer Ecocontacts (but we're talking about a 1200Kg light car on small wheels, you won't see much difference there). What I noticed right away, however, is the noise level. especially around 70-80km, then the sound from the tyres is drowned out by the aerodynamics and the engine. You simply know you're riding the zimacs and they growl lightly. We bought some Barumkas 5 in a similar size this year and I have to say that the Hankook is really better in dry and wet conditions. Both are very good on snow. For me, at this price, I recommend it as a competition to much more expensive tires such as Continental TS870 etc. Finally, we will see how long they will last, but since the previous winter tyres Sava Eskimo S3 lasted on the car 30k km and changed only because of age, I see it similarly with these.
+ price/performance
+ holds up surprisingly well on both dry and water
+ definitely better than e.g. "Czech" Barum
+ excellent on snow and in sub-zero temperatures
- noise level around 70km
