great sound
design
after switching on the repro connection to the mobile takes about 15-20 seconds. pretty annoying. even a cheap BT speaker connects in seconds
wifi connection required, otherwise it does not play
Bluetooth doesn't work without a wifi connection
the buttons have rather unintuitive controls

I'm evaluating the product after about half a year of regular use and during that time I've re-evaluated some of the initial negatives into positives. First of all, I would like to evaluate the sound. In a given price range and a real comparison of other products (JBL, Sonos, Bose and others), the sound from this speaker comes out best for me. I would like to point out that many aspects are based on subjective perception and may differ for others. Many people review that this speaker has exaggerated bass and lackluster mids and highs. In the early days I gave some truth to such reviews, but the physics of acoustics plays a role here. The speaker does not radiate in 360° but has the main speaker on the front. It has only passive radiators on the sides, which mainly take care of the lower band. And this can be a buried problem for many, as a lot depends on the positioning of the speaker in the space. But so, after all, do any others. The problem of exaggerated bass has been solved with the new firmware version, where the EQ adjustment option has been added. I originally purchased the device only for sporadic events, but I have now started to use it for regular listening at lower volumes. Unlike other speakers (e.g. JBL) dense and the sound is not so flat. The speaker currently has 200+ hours of recorded time and I would say there is no problem with excessive bass. Yes, again, subjective perception may play a role, when one adapts, but I still rate it very positively. What may spoil the first impression a bit is the operation of the speaker out of the box. It required Google Home and to be honest in the first few minutes I thought I was going to drive it right back. However, I have made it work and I am actually glad for this solution, as I have the device connected to WiFi, I use voice control and there is no need to connect it to anything else. Here I see just a little bit of a disadvantage in that it is not possible to use the speaker in a second standalone mode and only classically via bluetooth without Google Home. Classic bluetooth pairing is possible directly via the button just after the initial configuration via the Google app. I would add that a stand connected to the 230V mains is also supplied, through which the device is charged. When operating on the internal battery, the performance is slightly reduced compared to operating on the stand. As many have already written, it is possible to charge via USB-C during operation, e.g. from the power bank to extend your playing time. This is quite sufficient even without additional power supply. So overall I rate the speaker very positively, balanced sound and if you don't need to bathe directly in the pool, it's a very good choice.
Sound quality (more in description)
Google Home and using voice control (English only for now)
Possibility of direct connection to wifi and streaming e.g. from Spotify (depending on Google Home settings)
Possibility to connect the classic way via Bluetooth using the pairing button (after initial Google Home configuration)
Pedestal. from which the speaker is powered and charged
For some, it can be a hell of a first time commissioning. Google Home required.
Without first initializing Google Home, you can't connect to the speaker via Bluetooth alone

Not a bad speaker overall but more for young people who want a bass effect. Maybe yours was good in steam for stereo but that's another chapter. I had a Beolit 20 at home with it for comparison. The winner of the sound quality stayed at home. Citation goes back to Alza even though it's smarter.

The speaker has a reasonable compromise of size and power to handle all your normal daily needs. It can play anything with its range and capabilities. Only in a few tracks did it fail to handle the lowest sub-bass notes, but you just can't ask for that from anyone, not even the more expensive competition, after a few litres of box. Not really. It's easy to wear, fits next to a pillow for really quiet nighttime listening. The volume is not great, but definitely fully sufficient, and not to small by any means. Thanks to USB-C charging while the device is running, it's no problem to play on the powerbank all day. The speaker sounds nice, tidy, and has strong bass. Sometimes too strong, and it needs to be tamed. As the volume increases, a sharp bass decay sets in about two-thirds of the way through the volume range, and you can hear it. That's a pity, this function should have been introduced much more gently. At normal volumes, the bass is very strong to the point of being vulgar, but you lose it noticeably when you turn it up. The speaker had the makings of an unbeatable product, but this one spoils it again to the level of "You get what you pay for". It must be understood that at this time this price is perfectly adequate. I would definitely prefer this speaker over any of the cheaper competition (I've had or heard a few), and even the JBL Extreme, which may be a hair louder, but you can't get bass out of it compared to this. And therefore I recommend the product with reservations. If you can handle it, it can handle the outdoors.
A great compromise between size and sound
"Good hi-fi sound" without distortion and extravagance or any great colouration.
Reasonable price for what it can do. You really couldn't buy such a thing for a quarter to a tenth of your salary during the socialist era: -)
It pushes the bass up to 42Hz, and plays satisfactorily up to 38Hz. For dense genres apart from subwoofer tests etc, it can really do it all.
Direct control and indication. I've never seen better.
Possibility to charge the powerbank on the fly, i.e. to play a whole day without the mains.
Probably disassemblable and upgradable. I guess it could be tuned even more and a better battery would give more endurance.
Vulgar bass pushed already at low volume, and at higher volumes it remains at its maximum level, while only the highs are amplified. Harman should have tamed and softened this a bit. This strident "Envelope Processing" is pretty much all manufacturers to a man. The speaker looks strong, but soon runs out of breath. And only the brand and price will decide how soon. Here quite reasonably, but with too sharp an onset.
Bass and treble are adjustable in four steps on the unit, but the values and the size of the jumps when switching are not very good. Another equalizer needs to be added
Processing has power over almost everything, there's not much you can do about it. It is what it is. It's not bad, but it's not so much a matter of styling it according to taste and mood.
Terrible way to connect via Google Home for someone who just wants a bluetooth speaker.

precise processing
clear sound
possibly shorter battery life (it discharges even in stand by mode) so if you leave it overnight without a charger it won't be completely happy, but so it's not primarily a portable speaker
some genres are slightly overbassed
the initial setup took a while (bluetooth cannot be connected without completely setting up the speaker, if you are setting up google assistant you have to throw the phone into english, after setting up the speaker you can switch back)
small offer of CITATION series from HK on Alza, I have been waiting for a soundbar for half a year

Absolutely unbeatable sound for the price! Sufficient treble, phone/pc with eq will raise the treble to the level of Hifi boxes! Bass so deep and high quality that my dad and I spent an hour listening to all sorts of genres if that's even possible or we went crazy. I think the speaker made a dent in the sales of many more expensive pieces!
Harman makes the sound for the BMW so it was a bit of a long shot based on listening to the music from the car and it was a hit.
Both Bluetooth and AirPlay can be played from the iphone
Having two pieces paired together must be a blast: ) (you can do it)
