At least there's something over the display.
It doesn't even reach the edges of the display (2mm on each side and even more in the corners)
The foil is not cut all the way around from the plastic backing I received it on in the package. This means that when I wanted to take it off and transfer it to the phone's display, I had to cut it off the backing in several places. Unfortunately, every time I discover an undercut, the film stretches and peels off a bit from its base, and dust gets on the film from underneath, so even if the rest of the gluing directly to the display goes without a problem, the dust is still there. It would be enough if the whole perimeter of the production area was cut off from the surrounding substrate.
