At the beginning one wants to test all the functions of the device, either I made a mistake somewhere, but the device lasted charged for about 5 days, the person is lazy to keep charging it and the "thousandth" thing he wants to charge. Of the operators, I found Cactus to be the best for this device. With a bit of effort, I've enabled a lot of features, I check the location by calling the device and hopefully it always sends back a text with the location. Sure it occasionally records the position a few hundred meters earlier for moving objects, vehicles, but it is still more accurate than the Skoda app and the vehicle position. Finally, the battery life is great, before the device runs out of power it sends two text messages with battery and location data. It also apparently sends a text message once a day when the device moves. Never sent a text message by mistake before, there shouldn't be any shocks like someone stealing my motorbike, caravan. The device has a strong magnet at the bottom, which is quite practical. I haven't noticed any discharge in those common frosts for central Europe. In the end, I'm pretty happy with the device. Purchased in 2022 for 2629 CZK.

I disagree with some reviewers that the setup according to the instructions is complicated - it's not, you just have to read carefully. (In addition, the manual is available for download in the "advice and guides" tab, so everyone has the opportunity to evaluate what the setup entails and whether it is beyond their capabilities before purchasing. ). The locator can be controlled via SMS messages and then track activity/location via sent SMS. At the same time, the locator can be controlled, set up and monitored online via PC or mobile app, which I highly recommend. With regard to comfort, the one-time fee of less than 500 CZK is definitely worth it. As far as the offered preset operating modes are concerned, it is first necessary to read properly what, when and how the locator works in the given mode + to realize what I need to control the locator in the chosen control mode (for SMS control I need different functions active than for GPRS mode) and choose the locator's operating mode accordingly. If someone chooses a mode that puts the communication channels for SMS to sleep while controlling the locator via SMS (or that puts the data communication to sleep while controlling the locator via GPRS), then it is no wonder that the communication with the locator does not work correctly. Which is not the locator's fault.
I am very satisfied with the locator - both in terms of functionality and control options, and in terms of endurance.
Relatively simple setup.

After paying a small fee, you can monitor and set up online on your PC or mobile app.

According to the enclosed instructions, it should react to a shock alarm by sending a notification sms and should send another notification about a possible next shock alarm after 3 minutes. Literally, the manual says "If the locator detects vibrations again within 3 minutes, it will send a warning SMS again, but not until 3 minutes after the first warning. "The problem is that it doesn't work that way. The locator responds only to the first alarm. When the next alarm occurs, it no longer sends a notification sms, neither after 3 minutes nor after 3 hours. The problem then occurs when the "sleep shock" mode is enabled. And with the "sleep deepshock" mode on, the locator becomes completely disabled. It simply sends a notification message at the first alarm, and if the person does not respond within 3 minutes, the locator will not be called. Because after 3 minutes and subsequent self-sleep, the locator apparently wakes up during the next shock - it flashes the green LED, but does not send the text message. So there's no way to know when the locator can be called. In the case of a kidnapping, in the "sleep deepshock" mode, one does not even call, because one does not know when the next vibration will occur, i.e. when the locator will revive for 3 minutes. I have reset the locator several times with begin. I have tried it in both tracker and monitor mode, each time the alarm behaves as I described.
In active mode, it shows quite accurately

It cannot be used in any sleep mode, in which it should last for a year. It can therefore only be used in one of the live modes and only for a maximum of 3 months under ideal conditions, i.e. probably 1.5 months in winter.

It is not user friendly at all. Since it has a higher price among other products, I would expect better control. But God knows if others are not in a similar situation, or even better if you look at the reviews of other users. However, despite all this, I believe that as a user you will not have to regularly control the device. After the initial difficulties, set everything up and you will no longer interact with the product as such. You will only receive messages with the GPS location of the stolen item. However
You can also find out the GPS location of the device by ringing the phone number that is in the locator
You can set it using sms and at certain intervals send an sms with your location for a period of five repetitions
you can help set the sms so that when the device leaves the current location by more than X meters, it will guide you.
If you want to track the GPS location from an application on your mobile phone or computer, you have to pay a one-time fee of 490 CZK. It is free of charge to be tracked via Google maps according to the established rules, which are set via SMS commands from the manual (so you can get used to it and you don' t have to use it often)
Controlled only via sms messages with a specific wording of the message text. It is not the current user experience I would expect.
Sending GPS location after ringing stopped working
