On the one hand it works fine, briskly, with online + AV1/HDR+, CEC licenses, but with problems. In just a few days, we'll have ① regular sound failure ② lock or loss of connection to the controller ③ neither night mode works - runs nonstop on max power ④ schizophrenic auto/manual sound - receiver doesn't display format correctly ⑤ DTS-X/HD/MA passthrough is not working ⑥ TrueHD with dropouts and/or delays ⑦ 3x TV flicker completely inconvenient ⑧ AutoHDR sometimes doesn't work, AFR/AR we preferred not to try ⑨ the obsolete Dune app can't do anything, and we don't see SMB/SFTP anywhere. Firmware up to 1 year old. What is good is HDR in YT but that is so for 1 use. The controller has no backlight but has an excellent layout. Simply Shield still leads, if it had autoreboot or 4GB RAM, it has no problem. But there's also a "cable slipping out" and an annoying bug everywhere. People dream of Android 12 changing that, but that may come in 100 years. 3.5/5

On the whole satisfaction although higher price
DO doesn't have a Play/Pause button, which is terribly annoying. It solves the HDMI connection to the TV, where it can be controlled with the TV remote, but then again the Home button doesn't work because it takes the TV as Home from there.

Android TV OS, the problem some may see is that Google's app store for this fork of Android contains only a fraction of the apps that are available for "normal" Android. I didn't find my favourite Opera there. It can be installed, but in a rather convoluted way.
