I'm comparing this all-in-one computer to an HP laptop with a 17-inch HP 17-cn0605nc i5-1135G7, 512GB, Full HD monitor. I bought this computer to have a bigger monitor to watch movies when the TV in the living room is occupied. Warm colour rendering is essential. Who doesn't mind colouring books, or is used to them, will have no problem. When I have my NB and this computer next to each other and I play the same movie or cartoon the difference in colour rendering is abysmal.
Larger 24" monitor than 17" laptop.
Just a keyboard and a mouse on the desk. That they are wired is fine with me (I don't want wireless).
LAN connection RJ-45 (this NB does not have this and is solved by LAN adapter in USB-C).
The keyboard is low, nice grip.
2x USB 2.0 and 2x fast USB 3.0 , 1x USB-C.
HDD 1 TB is classy.
Windows 11 - the main bar cannot be put to the side / right side as in Windows 10 - it is necessary to overwrite the value in the registries and there is no guarantee of correct Windows behavior.
Windows 11 - when you turn on the computer with internet connection, you cannot skip the initial settings and an MS account is required - after a longer search on the internet, you can bypass it in the DOS prompt with the oobe\bypassnro command.Then the Offline / local account option is offered.
Small monitor resolution only 1920/1080. The NB in question has the same thing, but the monitor is a smaller 17". The 24" would deserve more resolution, but the All-in one has it, but only for the larger 24" models.
Warm colour rendering - when watching movies, one feels like watching a colouring book compared to the cool colour rendering of the NB HP. There is no way to change the colour rendition and I am considering it as a reason for return. After years, I got used to "cold breeding". Classic TV goes set up and is somewhere in the middle between hot and cold serving.
The keyboard is not backlit compared to the NB.
The keyboard has function keys half the height of the other keys, titular labels. For NB I understand, for a standalone full size keyboard it's to buy a new one.
The keyboard is noisier than on the NB. Kind of like cheap plastic.
If you are taller, then the leg/bar that the monitor is on is low - the monitor is not at eye level, but looks down like a NB. I temporarily put the computer/monitor under a shoebox until I decide whether to keep this computer.
It quietly whirs/growls even when nothing is happening in terms of performance (I am writing this review) at room temperature 23C. The NB in question in this situation is absolutely silent / inaudible. I'll see when I play a game that needs CPU/GPU power how it will make noise.
For the non-work computer, I have a white desk that I wiped down with a damp cloth before setting up the new computer. After unpacking the new computer and putting it together, there was a shuviks, a small mess on the table as if the computer was packed in a barn on straw.
The computer/monitor is not pure white, but mottled/spotted. It's mainly visible on the bottom of the monitor.
