If you're thinking about this configuration (i5-1240p and 8GB RAM), beware that it only runs the graphics chip as an Intel UHD. To activate Intel Iris Xe, a second memory module is required. This is very easy thanks to the great expandability of the laptop and the perfect instructional videos from HP, but it is an extra cost, for me 1.800, - CZK for two 8GB Crucial modules. I don't know if this is a permanent condition, but at the moment the higher model (i7-1260p and 16GB RAM) is only about 2.500 CZK more expensive on Alza, which makes the i5 configuration a bit pointless. The second thing that I think is worth mentioning is the fact that the keyboard is a bit smaller than usual for (at least business) laptops because of the number pad. It's not much at all, but it's noticeable. Personally, I don't mind it yet, but if I could choose, I'd rather do without the number pad. But the keyboard is overall very pleasant to type on, mainly because of the perfect stroke and response. I was a bit afraid of the shutdown button next to delete, but fortunately it responds with a delay (which can be deactivated in the bios), so unwanted shutdown does not take place. The last thing I'm a bit sorry about is (at least on our market) the lack of configurations with AMD Ryzen processors, which apparently outperform the current generation of Intel processors in efficiency. On the other hand, I think HP deserves praise for the cooling on this model, which I was a bit worried about because of the Intel P processor. The fan will run at rest and with minimal load (web, etc. ) does not spin at all, only occasionally makes a quiet noise during normal use, and even under full load is easily tolerable. And it doesn't even seem that this behaviour is paid for by performance, at least not extremely expensive - my i5 scores over 8000 in Cinebench R23, which is a solid average for this processor according to NotebookCheck data. It's just a shame that with Ryzen 6850U it could have been 10000 and maybe even quieter and with longer battery life. Overall, I am very happy with the laptop despite the few minor gripes and if I lost it for any reason, I would buy it again. I would just definitely pay extra for an i7 configuration at current prices, or better yet, reach for a Ryzen (hopefully it will come to us sometime).
