I had HyperX Cloud 2 Red before and the shift forward from sound quality to processing is obvious. TimTheTatman also used them, so that's enough for me as a review (of course my custom design gold version).

at the beginning they are a little "hard", but it will allow
volume control on the cable (I'm not a fan, but it's not a problem)
even at max volume I don't think they sound as loud as other headphones, but the max is enough (maybe I just overlooked something)

Good sound even for listening to music. The AlzaPower Alucore Audio 3.5mm Jack 4P-TRRS (M) to 3.5mm Jack (M) cable fits nicely into the headphone jack and has a microphone and controls, even for volume on Android phones.

I have experience with the earlier wired HyperX Cloud and wireless HyperX Cloud Flight. Sound and microphone functionality equal in comparison. I use it for casual gaming and leisure music listening and I am satisfied. The cable is long enough, the audio and microphone controls are the same as the HyperX Cloud, hopefully it will have the same build quality.
Where the HyperX Cloud Alpha is worse is in weight and shape. I keep feeling it pressing on the top of my head.

I have had headphones for a few months now and I am extremely satisfied. I wouldn' t trade them for others. Basically, you can' t get better for this price, but of course it depends on what you prefer with headphones.
