It flashes green (backlighting of the buttons) and cannot be turned off. It looks really bad and it's not in the parameters. If you don't want an overgrown "firefly" on your clip, consider another MP3 model

nothing special
the groove between the buttons and the body of the mp3 is small for thumb touch control
inability to skip backwards several songs at once. I would expect 5 clicks back to move me 5 songs. It doesn't apply here. First it moves one song, I have to wait for it to start playing before I press the button to move back another song.
I don't know when to turn the shuffle function on and off. Mp3 flashes randomly, so orientation in the playlist is poor.
the mask doesn't accept manual reordering of new added songs, because it puts them all at the end.

When switched off, it remembers where it left off and continues when switched on. (good for audiobooks and radio plays)
It takes some skill to shut it down. If the button is held down longer, it immediately switches back on after switching off.
