cables point in one direction - takes up less space on the desk and allows better access than "square" models with USB slots all around

solid construction, looks like it will last
perhaps only the blue power diode shines unnecessarily strong, but this is solved by relabeling or, plugging the SD card reader Kingston MobileLite G4 into the outermost slot - the diode covers without covering the adjacent USB slot
