I have a similar thing from TEAC and it's a little better. This doesn't work with USB 2.0, or it has so much power consumption that it won't handle a 2.5" hard drive. TEAC can handle it. It works on USB 3.0 and higher due to the higher available current. However, it is slightly slower in transmissions than TEAC. Returned.

I am used to RaidSonic products and I still have the MB453SPF-B disk array for some 14 years without service. All that is needed on this adapter is the case, which I really only consider as such an accessory from the manufacturer as stickers with the logo on the motherboards. Encapsulating the disk like this will be as hot as the Sahara. I do not know what the manufacturer' s intention, if the protection of the lower contacts of the disc, then he should have supplied a insulating foil on which you just need to place the disc. If you use it for transport, then something really solid, where the disk will not suffer from temperature and at the same time protect it from shocks.
