I use it with HomeAssistant as a DLNA device and it works flawlessly. I got my first M5 over two years ago and it's on 24/7. The second one was taken a year ago and placed outside under the roof of the open terrace also 24/7 and I didn't put it in the house even during the winter. They both work without complications and I will be getting more.

Expectations were not high for the price. However, before this device took its place in an affordable HiFi system (15000 - 20000Kč), I tested it on RODE NTH-100 headphones and the resulting sound pleasantly surprised me. With regard to price, of course. I was expecting audible noise or lack of detail, neither of which happened. Setting up the device is simple and easy with the instructions. I recommend using the original app for setup. Because the device is built on the Linkplay platform, you can use apps from a range of competing products that use this platform. (including Wiim, which I highly recommend) The apps are easy to use and even my older parents can handle it. So if anyone is considering a steamer and doesn't want to spend thousands on one, or if you are using it for wireless music streaming to your active speakers or HiFi bluetooth, get this product. You won't be disturbed by your phone's ringtones and notifications, and you get lossless sound quality. Oh, and it can be controlled from an unlimited number of devices, so it's great for parties too, where everyone can add songs from their own phone to the playlist. Moreover, you won't have to worry that the person playing the music will get a phone call, disappear and the party will be silent. I'm just curious about the longevity, since it can't be remotely turned off, or by any button. So it's 24/7.

The mobile app is underdeveloped. It is possible to play music from folders on your phone, but the folders are sorted in the order they are on the storage, not alphabetically. When I want to play a specific album, you can't search by artist, sometimes clicking works when browsing folders, sometimes double tapping is needed, overall the app is pretty clunky and unpolished.
The transmitted music is muffled and expressionless, but the preset EQ profiles help. However, some of them unfortunately sound a bit artificial.
Music can only be turned up and down in the app (I don't know about Spotify, this restriction probably doesn't apply there) with the app "on top" and the display unlocked.
The device is very sensitive to wifi signal quality.
