Neither the battery nor the DC adapter are included, it is written at the bottom of the package. You will find out after you buy the goods. ALZA should put this on the website in the "accessories" section.

It will serve its purpose, but it's not great. The design is somewhat fragile. White mode is not bad, although it doesn't make stars, it's more like spots. Color mode switches too quickly, more for disco than falling asleep - we don't use it. It does not have automatic shutdown, must be turned off manually.
