The fan in the package is 8 cm in diameter, so it is quite loud, but it keeps the processor cool. What was incredibly annoying was the constant increase/decrease in revs. Every time a little more power was needed (for example, when scrolling through a web app), the RPMs went up for a while, and then dropped again, which is much worse than if they were always higher. Maybe it's my board, I don't know, but it annoyed me terribly because it was quite audible, even from a soundproofed Fractal box. Now I have a double fan with diameters of 12 and 14 cm, nothing is heard and the processor has 10 °C less.

Purchased for the temporary Ryzen 5 3600, which I bought from an emergency sometime in 2020.It was Intel much higher financially. And Ryzen was just a sensible choice. But I wasn' t happy with it. I was constantly destroyed by the fan' s speed because Ryzen kept adding speed to the waves in order to cool down. That bothered me all the time. At rest the air cooler had some 45st and at full load calmly 80st. And that' s what I used Spartan from SilentPC. So as soon as the new Intely came out, their price is more bearable, the whole AMD line-up (record + Ryzen) went out into the world, and now I' m finally calm. Temperatures in iddle some 32st max (on AIO whirlpool from Gigabyte) and in full load max 60st. Performance higher than Ryzen so good for me. It is not a problem to keep the clock stable at 4GHz (in fact it is a non K version of the cpu). I have it in a Gibabyte Z690 board and it' s a toy set in it.
