I would say that longer operation at loud volume has affected the internal speaker, it's getting weaker, it's not as loud anymore
on batteries

Unfortunately, I'm going back and I'm going to make my own, because according to the reviews, the commonly available "micro" combos are similar: -)
Inexpensive and, considering the price, a pretty good mechanical design.
With gain at about 20% and volume at about 60%, the strings themselves were still louder than the sound from the combo. So if I want a clean sound without overdriving the combo is useless, because even when I had the speakers max. 1m from the head, the sound levels from the combo and the guitar were about the same. Otherwise, I use a 50W head from Hoecke and during home practice I often have it only at about 1/5 (10W) but it definitely does not correspond to the 10W claimed for this combo.

Not too bad, see my short personal review.
A compact plastic combo that is suitable for loud reproduction of your bass strings, especially for the purpose of personal listening while practicing. You don't always want to use headphones with headphone amplifiers or sound cards. Certainly don't imagine taking it to a rehearsal, to the pub, or as an accompaniment to acoustic guitars. Here, due to the low power, which defacto you won't even use the 10W, it won't even be enough for acoustic guitars. These will always "bass" tones over sound, your bass will just disappear in them. Unless you crank the gain and volume to MAX. And here is the stumbling block. As you go over half power with this combo with both selectors, you get the sound into overdrive. So the pure bass tone disappears and there is only that buzz. The distortion that can be turned on with this combo is not listenable at all. Brr.
The sound itself can be cranked up with volume, gain and as I mentioned before, the clean and surprisingly the bass sounds quite nice. Even with this setup, I played it with an Ibanez K5 5-string bass in drop and Gis, Cis, Gis, Cis, Fis tuning. Yes, read well: ) Not only does this bass do that, but surprisingly, so does this little speaker. Because of its mobility, due to the possibility of power supply with 6 x AAA alkaline batteries, the combo can be taken anywhere. So you can indulge in the kiss of the muse, perhaps in a meadow or in the woods, while composing your own ideas. After all, every artist or music enthusiast carries a travel bass with them on vacation or just for fun. Fits in any backpack or bag, pencil batteries can be bought at any gas station for that matter. Don't look for super sound, look for combos in a different price range, personally I like Markbass micromark 801, but that's a different league, plus it offers the option of battery power. What's disappointing is the missing strap, but then again it has a 9V power supply in the package, which is far more practical. You can easily make a belt loop, for example from an old leather belt, which you cut off the overhang and drill holes with a diameter of about 10mm in both ends and put plastic screws through them, which are in the case of the combo, or replace with metal ones. For this current price (749 CZK) it is a great deal and I can recommend it.
Of course, you can connect both headphones and send some mp3s via the AUX input and your phone. I give 4 *, because it is not possible to use the full 10W, but max 5W. Otherwise the sound is no longer clear, but it is MUCH, MUCH more usable than its more expensive and branded rival combo from BLACKSTAR, the Fly Bass. Moreover, I didn't last long with the Pack version, just an overpriced disaster and sound like from ****.
