It's wood, so it can't be completely cleaned and over time it needs to be completely replaced.

Nice design
Even with the base, you should expect a height of 22 cm (the seller doesn't give this figure) + another 2 centimetres for it to be able to rotate at all. So unusable for me, as it won't fit in the cage.
Another minus are the glued strips in the carousel with a height of about 4 mm, which seems to me for running for a hamster in general, a high hurdle.
It lacks a diameter of 17 cm, which is not offered by the manufacturer. For the smallest rodents, e.g. Roborovsky hamsters is recommended min. diameter 17 cm (due to the bending of the spine). The manufacturer offers 15 cm and 20 cm, nothing in between. So it is not clear to me what rodents the 15 cm diameter is for?

Super big wheel for the Syrian starling, the absolute best would be from niteangel, hopefully we will see it here one day, the starling likes to use it and it is especially quiet compared to plastic ones, the solid base also does a lot

I haven't used it. Wheels with high protrusions inside are not recommended for rodents.

It's not smooth inside like the picture. It has high protruding stripes inside which a rodent can trip and seriously injure itself.

It's really quiet, you don't even know the animal is running.
Spacious. Our jungle hamster sizzles in it all night long.
Very little space between the wheel and the base. Often it happens that a litter or a stick gets in between and the wheelbarrow grinds, you can already hear it.

too high for a smaller hamster, but it is possible to bury the base in sawdust and thus reduce the height of the wheel itself
