A small disadvantage is that the grated cheese gets from the back between the rotating roller and the outer casing. Larger pieces will remain there.

All metal. Very responsive, easy to change tools. Quickly ready for action, few parts to wash afterwards. It can work all the time - it doesn't have a container that fills up and then needs disassembling.
The blade could be sharper, but it works reasonably well. Aluminum is a plus - it lasts forever -
will not crack like plastic, but be careful not to put it in the dishwasher or it will lose its shine (or wash in the dishwasher with hot water without detergent). But it's not a problem to rinse those few parts in the sink by hand in a moment.
