the speed corresponds to the port used. This is USB 3.2 so if you don't have USB 3.2 you won't get that speed. Personally, I only have USB 3.1.
I did some tests using CrystalDiskMark 8.
The AlzaPower USB-A (M) to USB-C 3.2 (F) silver adapter (APWCB703c1) works very well.

13GB file copy progress: for the first few seconds the speed moves at the level of the declared speed, then the speed drops to 160MB / s. Copying a 13GB file will not take about 15 seconds as it should, but it will actually take 30-120 seconds. The speed drop sometimes occurs 2 seconds after copying starts and sometimes after several seconds. However, it is always after a short while and larger files with this to upload them for tens of minutes. YUCK
