I recommend avoiding these for cooking as they do not cover your whole hand and I have burned myself more than once wearing these while reaching into an oven or around other hot surfaces. For carrying a hot plate across the room they're okay but for active cooking they lack adequate hand burn protection coverage.

Covers only your fingers leaving much hand exposed to burn risk
