It is difficult to rate monitors because they will behave differently in each room. I have a really bad room, so I appreciate the DSP, which makes it possible to fine-tune the monitors' behaviour. The sound is great. I bought them as an upgrade to my PC cases because I'm mixing some records more and more often and the jump is huge. For home conditions in an acoustically unresolved room, I don't think it makes sense to buy anything more expensive. Better to spend the money on acoustic treatments.

great monitors for home use
they don't provide enough bass frequencies for my taste (they are monitors, after all), but with a subwoofer (KRK S10.4 in particular) they are excellent
